While we have moved from the open noteboard of §Comments to a more old fashioned form of conferencing, I would still like us to preserve some of the impulsive and lively spirit we experienced there over the past week. Therefore we are implementing the following guidelines (with reservation for changes):
Create new topics whenever you seem to go off the subject
One reason we chose to use a forum was to allow for non-linear parallel discussions, but individual topics are quite linear and a change of subject or two will easily make it hard to follow or to continue a subject that sort of flashed past. Therefore, whenever a new thought strikes you, create a new topic. We like more topics with more ideas to ruminate on and more speculations to inspire our imaginations.
